This is one of several buildings restored by the late artist and benefactor Rodolfo Morales and near the large town of Ocotlan, in the southwestern valley of Oaxaca. Its seven wooden altars in the interior show a great quality of workmanship that characterizes the Dominican Guilds who built most of the religious buildings in Oaxaca. The Rodolfo Morales Cultural Foundation did exceptional work in renovating this old building which was falling apart in its abandonment and transformed it into a colorful, beautiful part of the community again.
