Saturday Tianguis Market

In El Central de Abastos (Oaxaca City) the Tianguis Market is simply awesome. It takes place west of the city and it's locally known as the "Central de Abastos" Market. This is the grand market of the entire valley where baskets, animals, arts and crafts and many more goods are brought in from all the surrounding villages. The entire grounds cover 8 entire blocks and is the largest market to be seen. There are sections for pottery, bread, birds, baskets, fish, flowers, meat, fruits and other goods, and also colorful stands everywhere.
